Civil Rights groups condemn TUC's action

Concerned Human Rights Groups in Rivers State have condemned the sudden back-out of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) from the planned In­dustrial action prear­ranged by the entire la­bour unions on grounds of seeming constructive dialogue with the Federal Government on the re­cent fuel price hike.

The rights groups which include, Centre for Environmental, Human Rights and Development, Civil Liberties Organisa­tion, United Action for Democracy, Centre for Media and Development Communication, Kebet­kache Women Develop­ment and Resource Cen­tre and Rainbow Watch
Coalition, made this as­sertion to journalists yes­terday in Port Harcourt.
