The attacks on Oil Installation is being Sponsored By PDP - APC accused PDP

The All Progressive Congress in the South-South Region has accussed the People Democratic Party in the Region of allegedly responsible in the recent attacks on Oil installation in the Niger Delta Region.

According to GutsyNaija, the APC said that the prepetrators of the attacks were not as patriot of the region but were being fulled by the People Democratic Parrty just to derail the Pres. Buhari Led Administration.
The party stated this in a communiqué issued at the end of its South-South zonal rally at the Government House in Benin, according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Edo State Governor, Mr. Peter Okhiria, on Sunday. According to our Team (GutsyNaija) who were present at the event said,
Present at the rally were the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, who was represented by the Deputy National Chairman, Mr. Segun Oni, and the party’s National Vice-Chairman (South-South), Mr. Hilliard Eta.
“The zone notes the upsurge in the renewed militancy in the area by ‘The Avengers’ and condemns its activities in its entirety.
“The zone does not believe that their nefarious activities are driven by any patriotic fervour, rather, we have cause to believe that they are instigated by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party to derail President Buhari’s government, in order to avoid the long arm of the law on their criminal activities while in government.”
The leadership of the party in the zone, however, commended the performance of President Buhari in his first year in office, including the commencement of the Ogoni clean-up.
While also commending Governor Adams Oshiomhole for providing quality leadership through the delivery of infrastructure in Edo, it assured that the June 18 governorship primary would be free and fair.
The statement read, “The zone commends the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on his performance in his first year in office. We support his fight against corruption and his effort to restructure the country’s dwindling economy and build a viable Nigeria.
“The zone acknowledges the commendable performance of the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, in the delivery of infrastructure and other dividends of governance to the good people of Edo State.”
The party, however, urged the national secretariat of the APC to provide a level playing field for all aspirants, ahead of the governorship primary of the party in Edo State.
Earlier, Oshiomhole noted that the party had demonstrated its message of change through the provision of basic infrastructure in the 18 local government areas of the state, adding that the performance of the party would serve as a viable scorecard during political campaigns.
