Learn How to Listen to Advice - Oba of Lagos Tells Pres. Buhari

The Oba of Lagos State, South-South Nigeria, Oba Rilwani Akiolu, has advised Nigeria’s president, President Muhammadu Buhari to change his leadership style, saying the president should recognize the he is not a military ruler.
The Oba made this statement while making a speech at the opening of SunTrust Bank Limited in Lagos on Monday, also he urged the president to always listen to advice on how best to govern the country.
According to report, the Lagos Oba, also faulted the measures being adopted by the federal government of Nigeria in tackling the decay caused by the immediate past government, stressing that all the happened in the past government were not caused by former president Goodluck Jonathan.
In his words he said, “All of us just have to support the president and I advice him to know that he is not a military man again, I am also afraid to say that. On the measures they are taking to tackle the rout of the past, honestly, whether they like it or not, it was not totally the fault of Jonathan.

He added, “I don’t hide the fact that Jonathan is my personal friend. All that happened was not totally his fault. But it is not too late to make amendment. With professor Yemi Osinbajo as a head of economic team, with people like Mrs. Nike Akande as the president of Lagos Chamber of commerce and industry and others, the federal government should listen to advice from people in commercial sector of the economy.”
