All Hands Must Be on Deck for Us to Salvage Our Nation - Mrs. Aisha Buhari

Wife of the president of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari Mrs. Aisha Buhari has called for planed effort to get the nations’ economic out of recession.
The president wife made this statement while inaugurating a skill-acquisition centre for the training of 200 women in Katsina State as part of her feature assured project in conjunction with the National Directorate of Employment.
According the Punch News, she said, “Unfortunately we are at a time when the country is experiencing great challenges. On this note, all hands must be on deck for us to salvage our nation.”
The president’s wife said 1,200 women from the six Geo-Political zones of Nigeria would benefit from the programme, which she said would provide support for the women and their children.
In the statement made by Mrs. Aisha, it read, “It is our sincere expectation that this effort will strengthen the hands of our women towards becoming major players in the economic development of our country.
She added, “I have no doubt in my mind that when economically empowered, women in Nigeria would contribute significantly to the diversification of our national economy.
She said, “My, ‘Future Assured’ programme believes strongly in empowering women in income wielding activities which in the long run will bring about inclusive growth in the economy.”
According to the Punch News, the governor of Katsina State, in his own remarks, said, Nigerians should be grateful to have President Muhammadu Buhari in power at a time the country was expecting economic downturn.

The governor said, “President Buhari was creating the political atmosphere to see the nation out of its challenges.”
