National Examination Council NECO 2016/2017 Result is Released

The National Examination Council NECO on Friday released the June/July 2016 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination SSCE result which it said it records 88.51% passed, with at least five credit including Mathematics and English Language.
According to Punch Newspaper, the NECO registrar Prof. Charles Uwakwe, while announcing the results at the examination body’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State, Northern Nigeria, said, that 905,011 (80.16%) got five credit and above in Mathematics.
According to source, the NECO registrar said, “The comparative analysis of the candidates’ performance in the examination for 2015 & 2016 showed a one percent increase in the general performance of candidates in 2016 (88.51%) when compared with that of 2015 (87.51%).
He added, “The 1,022,474 candidates in Nigeria and other countries partook in the examination out of 1,027,016 who had registered for it.
“The 43,905 cases of malpractice were recorded and identified the number of schools involve in mass cheating as 194.

He also ended his speech by saying, “those affected result has been cancelled.”
