Buhari's Letter Is Faulty - Senator Shehu Sani Insists Osinbajo is Acting President




Senator Shehu Sani has faulted President Buhari's letter to the Senate - The letter which has brought a lot of debate was first faulted by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa - He further insisted that VP Osinbajo remains the acting president Senator Shehu Sani has faulted the recent letter of President Muhammadu Buhari, intimating Nigeria's legislators of his medical trip to London.

The Kano state senator insisted that Professor Osinbajo is the acting president since the constitution has provided room for the scenario that played out. Senator Shehu Sani has faulted President Buhari's letter to the Senate He said: "Yemi Osinbajo is the acting president and not a "National Coordinator';Quoting the relevant section in the constitution in the President's letter takes care of the 'disturbing appellation';even though coordinator shouldn't have been used and must not be in the future if the need arises.

" Recall that Nigerians have reacted to President Buhari's letter intimating the Senate of his travel on medical vacation to London. NAIJ.com reports that while some Nigerians faulted the letter, other said the letter was in order. The letter which has brought a lot of debate was first faulted by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.

Mao Ohuabunwa, the Senator representing Abia-North at the National Assembly faulted President Buhari's letter intimating the Senate of his medical trip abroad and his delegation of power to the vice president. Meanwhile, Femi Fani Kayode has also reacted to the development. He described as dangerous the plan by some people to keep Professor Yemi Osinbajo away from the position as acting president in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari.

President Buhari had left the country on Sunday, May 7 for medical treatment and the vice president was duly expected to replace him in acting capacity.
